“With a sense of history and evolution of the saxophone, Jeff Morrison has drawn inspiration from jazz saxophone masters such as Dexter Gordon, Sonny Rollins, and Coltrane…”
“Throughout, Morrison never lacks for intensity. He’s able to express vivid film noir-like sonics during the title track while introducing introspection…It all adds up to an exciting debut.” - Eric Searleman

Jeff spent 15 years in Chicago and is now in New York.  His latest CD release is a live recording at Danny’s Tavern in Chicago from December 2012 and is available from Dusty Groove Records https://www.dustygroove.com/item/717648 featuring Dr. Odies Williams III – trumpet/flugelhorn, Todd Howell – drums, and Ben Paterson – organ.  Coming soon are a studio project “Banyan Tree” featuring pianist Bill Carrothers and drummer Makaya McCraven, and a second live recording, Jeff Morrison Quartet, Live at Danny’s, Vol.2 featuring the great guitarist Jeff Parker.
